The Humane Society of Harford County, Inc. (HSHC) is a 501c3 nonprofit animal shelter which contracts with the Harford County Government to provide sheltering services for the entire county of Harford. We take in about 3,500 animals every year, including cats and dogs of course, but also reptiles, rodents, livestock, wildlife, and everything in between. In 2017 we had our highest lifesaving year ever, with a live release rate of 92%.
