I liked being in control of the work that I did. It was me and the student most of the time, no one hovering over me at all times.
What I wish was different
I wish I had gotten set up sooner and learned the new ACT material before starting. I also wish I had better pacing for the material
Advice
When working with a student on the ACT, make sure to practice thinking from their perspective. What’s easy to you may not be easy to them, and acknowledging that it’s hard could make them feel more reassured.
