I had a great experience mentoring the girls ranging from ages 12-18. I really connected with them and got to know them on a personal level as well as got the chance to instill positive values, sisterhood and push them in the academics as well.
What I wish was different
I don’t wish anything would have been different. I had a great experience and will truly miss the team as well as the girls. Although, I will still keep in contact with them.
Advice
One price of advice I would share about this experience is that it’s a great experience if you are dedicated to the young girls and want to help further them, build connections with them and just be there for them you will really enjoy it.

What I liked
It was a very successful experience. I loved working with young girls and being their to encourage them that they will forever have someone to lean on and to remind them of sisterhood.

The location of the actual internship, nothing else
Advice
The piece of advice I would share, is to do not be shy or afraid. You have to be comfortable and began shifting in the mind-frame of being a leader and example. Also to be very compassionate and acquire active listening skills.
