Advice

Take advantage of all the resources offered. Give it your all. Let your manager know what you are interested in and shadow as many people as you can, especially in the first month.

Always put your best foot forward but know you are able to say no. Be a strong and reliable worker but know that just because you are asked to take on an additional project, you do not have to.

Loyalty Campaign Planning and Management Intern

What I liked

I liked that there was several opportunities to network with different departments and individuals in the same department but in different roles. I truly appreciate my manager's efforts in ensuring that I was getting the most out of my internship experience, being that it was such a short period of time.

What I wish was different

I wish the internship program was at least two weeks longer because I feel as though the first three weeks of the program are to get acquainted with the processes and jargon pertaining to the role and by the time I actually learned and was able to apply what I've learned, the program was nearly over.

Advice

I would definitely say to take advantage of the resources with the experience as much as possible. After graduating from college, there won't be as many opportunities to gain so much experience, learn about different career paths, and work on projects that you have plenty of guidance and training for. Internships are for learning and applying yourself so make sure to utilize the space to its fullest potential.
