I liked that they gave me the opportunity to be an intern close to home and learned about how it is in an engineering work environment. Also, I started the job not knowing how to use AutoCAD and ended the job being good at it.
What I wish was different
The job posting is really hard to get access too, I only found about it through networking with people.
Advice
I highly recommend to apply and get your experience even if the job offered is not something related to your major, the work environment within the company is great.

My coworkers were amazing. Everyone was friendly and I got to learn how the district works.

I would suggest everyone try to enroll in an internship since it gives you first hand experience on how the work environment is.
