What I wish was different
Initially, I was excited about the chance to work on various projects, particularly in video editing. However, as my internship progressed, I found myself receiving minimal video editing tasks. Despite my repeated requests for more engaging projects, the opportunities I was given were limited and did not align with my goals or academic requirements. A significant issue arose when my boss reached out to my academic advisor to say I had not met the necessary requirements for the internship. This feedback was given without any prior discussion with me, leaving me feeling unsupported and blindsided. It was particularly frustrating that there was no direct communication from them to address my concerns or provide guidance.
