Well, it was my first job in US and i was very excited to start. The very personal thing i liked about it as it was a state job and i think state jobs have their own charm. On the other hand, it was a very different experience for me. I was working in the whole state of Indiana going on different sites every week at every part of Indiana. The people at my work place are super nice. My supervisor was very flexible. Overall, i liked everything about it.
What I wish was different
There are a lot of thing i wish had been different. The very one thing is that i couldn't pick up the pace in the start as it was new for me my first job in the US and stuff. i wish i could go back and fix that however i don't have any regrets about it as i enjoyed every time. There is one more thing that i was so into my work i could not properly interact with my colleagues.
Advice
There is not just one but i will sum it up in one. Try to gain as much as you, interact, learn, be humble, disciplined, and enjoy your work. Very honestly this experience is worth it. I can see a lot of changes in me after this experience.

What I liked
I truly enjoyed the people that I interacted with on my job. I also loved the projects I got to work on, I got to plot out our future projects up until 2024. I also learned how to calculate bridge painting projects.
What I wish was different
I wish I could have worked a little in the communications department. I think it would have been interesting.
Advice
Make sure you are accountable for your time. If you finish your work go ask for more.

Good opportunity to experience government work but state work is not always the most high paced or exciting
