What I liked

I absolutely loved the experience I had with the Indiana Republican Party. It was my first time in politics, and I was able to wear many hats and assist in work that was being used. The people I worked with were great and passionate, and the company has a really great culture. I think my favorite part was being able to attend events and fundraisers that I helped plan.

What I wish was different

I really enjoyed my time with the company. I do wish we were paid more than a low monthly stipends, but the experience was well worth it and I'd recommend it to anyone looking to get their foot in the door in the political industry.

Advice

Be passionate for what the party stands for. If you don't care that much about what you're doing and what you're doing it for, it will not be as fulfilling. There are communication, political strategy, and fundraising/finance internship positions.
