The agency culture and work is so interesting! I got exposure to so many departments within my role, and collaborated with both interns and full-time employees. I loved that the intern group was small and close knit - we got to work on a final project all together.
What I wish was different
The structure of the internship could've been better. Things kept getting moved around because not everyone's manager/mentor would be at certain meetings. There was way more emphasis on our group project then contributing actual work to the agency, which pretty much all of us disliked. There needed to be more learning in the beginning instead of being sprinkled throughout our internship.
Advice
You need to be a go-getter in order to be successful. Show initiative, ask to help! Being outgoing takes you a long way.

What I liked
I enjoyed doing lots of work in the programs I was familiar with. I did something in every subject of building design, from architecture to MEP. I got to see a lot of different building designs over my time there.
What I wish was different
I wish there had been more work. It was a hard time for the company and they didn’t offer me enough work to keep me busy.
Advice
Just don’t be afraid to ask for something to do. If you’re bored, then ask for work. They’ll surely find something for you!
