There was funding for students during the school year to complete unpaid internships.
Advice
Look for funding options in order to gain experience with organizations you care about.

What I liked
I loved the purpose of the organization and the diverse staff and group Intercambio serves! I had a great supervisor and really enjoyed event planning for nonprofit development.
What I wish was different
I wish that there had been less time at an office desk and more time interacting with other people.
Advice
Apply for internships that are connected to your university and definitely take the time to try out public interest! It's amazing to do work for a greater cause and not just for a paycheck.
