The staff was all really kind and the office is in Fishtown so there were some cute cafes but also a lot more parking than in center city. During the day there was always something to do, my supervisor was accessible and there were days dedicated to learning about aspects of Non-profit development which was helpful to build new skills.
What I wish was different
The hours were very long (9-5, 4 days a week for 8-10 weeks) and it was not possible to find time for an outside job to earn money. I think in the future there may be ways to change this as the staff are just interested in getting more students to know about their work.
Advice
Ask questions when you are confused and connect with all of the staff! They have so many stories and connections with people who are employed with all kinds of businesses and organizations, it was so helpful in thinking about possibilities for the future.
