the people at invotec are really nice and are very helpful. I was also able to see how the whole company was ran. I was also able to do more then just mechanical design work such as research and development. I was also able to contribute a lot and some of the things that is design where actual made and went onto the machines. During my second term at Invotec I was given the opportunity to work on bigger projects and was relied on a lot more by my supervisor. I was also able to do my own projects with little to no supervision.
What I wish was different
The main thing that I wish that was more different was to be more hands on I got some but wanted more. I also wish that I was able to sit in more kick off meeting. I wish that I was not mandatory to take an hour lunch break. I wish that I got bigger projects to do. I also wish to be in more customer meetings so that I can see the whole process from start to finish.
Advice
The main piece of advice that I would share is to ask questions. I feel that people are scared to ask questions because they don't want to let people to know that they don't know how to do it. I would also ask why things are don in a certain was instead of how things are done if you don't know why they do it this was. It help me understand the process of things a lot better when I ask why.
