I like that I can experience different parts of the company by being in a rotational program and that I did not have to commit to a job that I didn't fully understand. How are you supposed to know what you like until you try it?
What I wish was different
I wish when I applied to jobs that I knew more about how much community engagement companies did and knew to ask about that. We only do community engagement activities quarterly and I wish we could do more as they are fun and it's nice to give back.
Advice
I would say there is more autonomy in the work place than there is at school which can be a hard adjustment. You tend to set your own deadlines and make your own projects which is a big adjustment from school where a professor dictates all deadlines and coursework. My advice would be to get too spooked by this when you start a job and to learn how to make it work to your benefit.
