Working at Iowa Chop House has been an interesting ride to say the least. I have met many new friends and have learned a myriad of new skills. Working as a server has boosted both my communication and leadership characteristics by forcing them into play during times of high volume and customer interaction.
What I wish was different
I wish I had found this employer sooner.
Advice
Never get discouraged by poor management. Take the opportunity to learn from other's mistakes so you do not make the same ones in the future. Keep your head up and make people smile.

What I liked
Working part time while also taking summer classes in Iowa City was one of the best college experiences I've ever had. Loved the continued work/class schedule during the summer and the atmosphere of Iowa City summer is second to none.
What I wish was different
I wish I would've taken 9 credits as apposed to 6 as I probably could've managed.
Advice
Definitely consider staying in Iowa City and taking classes over the summer while also a part time job if you aren't working an internship. Great way to crank out some extra credits in your down time as well as build closer friendships with other people doing the same as the city is much quieter and less populated during the summer months.
