What I liked

I enjoyed the sales training ISBI provided. At times it was vigorous but it prepared me for my next sales role and any situation I would be put into. I also enjoyed working with Brett Zalaski, Kyle Burns, Bill Guertin and Colin Dilworth.

What I wish was different

I wish we had more of an opportunity to work and collaborate along side account executives with the different teams ISBI worked with.

Advice

Embrace everything ISBI has to offer. Never stop asking questions and do not be afraid to fail and make mistakes. You are working with some of the best people in the sports industry and they just want to help you be successful and see you thrive in your sales journey.

What I liked

This was my first sales role and Kyle and Brett were so attentive during the training process. They were with me every step of the way and assigned me to a great project with a WNBA team. The experience has taught me so much and I have gained a network of professionals that have so much advice to give and constantly check in on me. As a college student, the company makes sure we are able to balance school and work, which has been so helpful. I am so thankful for this opportunity and the people at ISBI who have made it possible. They really set you up for success in the future and want the best for you. It is a great company to start or continue your sales career with.

I enjoyed this opportunity of learning more about the sports industry, and I did make some connections to other people working in the sports industry. I also felt that this job helped me improve my communication skills.

I wish more people picked up my calls so I could make more sales.

Sales can be hard to come by because many people don't answer their phone, so be mentally prepared for that.

What I liked

I liked how hands on and interactive the entire experience was! I had been looking since graduation for a job in the sports industry and this company provided me with just that opportunity! After just a few weeks of training, they had me with one of the teams they partner with making real calls to ticket buyers and getting professional sports sales experience. This company also made sure to help me weekly with pain points I was struggling with in order to keep improving my process. When I went to apply for full time offers, each team was impressed with the experience I already had from the short time with ISBI.

What I wish was different

Advice

One thing about this experience is you get what you put into it. The sports industry is one that is hard to break into and while you can go about it on your own, I feel that putting in the 3-4 months of work with ISBI is a long term investment on your future career.
