Sales Associate

September 2016 - August 2018 • San Bernardino, CA

What I liked

Very relaxed overall. Allowed me to practice my interpersonal communication skills as well as customer service skills.

What I wish was different

Job can get monotonous after a while.

Advice

Don't let rude customers get to you. If they say something rude, don't engage them. Pretend they said nothing and move on. If they still act terribly, offer to call a manager. In my opinion a sales associate isn't paid enough to deal with people like them.

security engineering intern

June 2018 • Plano, TX

What I liked

Skills from the internship such as coding in .NET and MySQL commands against a SQL server database. Friendly nature of staff and managers. Inclusiveness of coworkers.

What I wish was different

More specialiazation in my field, however, that has happened in my transition to a full time associate. Can't reccomened this company enough.

Advice

Always take notes and push your limits that are set on you. Managers have a lot on their plate already. If you ask them to take things off their hands and demonstrate you have time to learn on your own, they will appeciate and assign more meaningful work.
