I liked the opportunity to network with people from different parts of their aviation career.
What I wish was different
I wished this would be often when there were networking events to enhance it like a real life experience and more connections to different types of aviation.
Advice
Just be familiar with the area, and add a phrase that gives a smile. It is easy.

Business Continuity and Emergency Response Team Intern
June 2018 • Long Island City, NY
What I liked
I loved being apart of a team that worked directly to help prevent, improve, and act on crisis events. We worked together to help solve problems, help people, and make a difference in what was happening in the world around us.
What I wish was different
I wouldn't change a thing.
Advice
By being able to try out a field I wasn't sure about in real time and with real experiences, I was able to figure out what career path is best suited for me. It really got me excited for my future and what I could be potentially doing once I graduate. Even if you aren't sure about a certain field or a certain position, just try it. You will never truly know what it will be like until you try it for yourself.

Legal and government affairs intern
June - August 2017 • Long Island City, NY
What I liked
I liked working closely with the sustainability department and the legal team, as a whole. Even though it’s a fairly big company, you feel as though you play an important role. I worked under an amazingly experienced woman who taught me invaluable corporate and sustainability knowledge. Jetblue is like the google of airlines. Everyone loves working there and the culture is fantastic.
What I wish was different
I wish I could have gotten a job offer from it! The sustainability department is not expanding any time soon so I understand...
Advice
Speak up in meetings, even with heads of tour department. They like seeing you take risks by participating and engaging with more experienced workers. Ask questions.
