I really liked teaching kids how to swim. That was my favorite part, helping people learn a fundamental life skill. My coworkers were also really fun people to interact with in off the stand time.
What I wish was different
I wish we had been able to open out outdoor facilities this year, but safety must always come first.
Advice
Being a lifeguard is a lot of responsibility and it is not for everyone.
