Jewish Vocational Service

Social Media Intern

June - August 2019 • Boston, MA

What I liked

My favorite part about working with JVS over the summer was being given the opportunity to work with a variety of people from all over the world. JVS did more than provide job experience, they helped me to better cultivate my understanding with others and to connect with individuals on a deeper level. One of my favorite contributions to the company was creating bios of students which are now hanging up within the organization.

What I wish was different

I wish I had found JVS sooner!

Advice

It can be scary at first, but persevere through the experience. I had to commute from outside of Boston on the subways and trains, and it was very out of my comfort zone and exhausting. But after the first couple of weeks, it became routine and everything fell into place. This experience could be your future job, so give it your all and make a good impression!
