What I liked
Jews United for Justice (JUFJ) does meaningful work in the community, and it allows you to form connections with progressive actors throughout the District of Columbia. Staff are friendly and willing to discuss/debate views about the intersection of Judaism, race, class, and social justice. The office environment is very easygoing, which made me feel welcome/comfortable as a student employee. As an intern, I assisted with email drafting, data entry, phonebanking, and preparing materials for lobbying or other legislative activities.
