Guest Services Intern

June - July 2019 • Dallas, TX

What I liked

What I liked about my experience at JetSuite was the work culture. The Guest Services department had great energy and made it a pleasure coming into work everyday. I also liked how I had the ability to interview and interact with members of the leadership team and departments throughout the company. Lastly, I liked the company overall from its business plan to its employees working hard everyday.

What I wish was different

The only thing I wish had been different was my housing and transportation. I won't be picky but I was at a long-term stay at an Airbnb sharing bedroom with four strangers there for their own reasons. Second I was taking the public transportation to and from work daily. Those would be the only two things I wish was different because the experience with the company couldn't have been any better.

Advice

One piece of advice I would like to share is to complete every task given to you to the best of your ability. With each task given and completed, your superiors will then give you more responsibilities and challenges to take on for you to gain more trust and merit. My first task was to cater food for Sales team visiting the new headquarters, and then further into internship I was answering phones recording potential leads for the company. Take on every task given and it's a learning experience too, so always give it 110 percent!
