I learned so much from people all over the hospital as well as spend time in each different unit I was interested in.
What I wish was different
Advice
Meet as many nurses and mangers as you can because they will be your biggest advocates when you start applying for jobs. Work hard and take care of the little things and people will notice.

Intensive care unit (ICU) vilunteer
June 2019 • Richland, WA
What I liked
I like being able to see behind the scenes how a hospital is run. It was also eye opening to see patients all the way from admittance through recovery, to being discharged from the hospital.
What I wish was different
I would have liked to be able to interact with the patients and families more.
Advice
It can be difficult to see people in the ICU and their families coming to terms with their injuries, but its incredible to see how far medicine has progressed in helping them.
