What I liked

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience working for Katie and Adam and cannot wait to continue on as an associate! Katie and Adam know how to do their job, and do it well! They provided us interns with an abundance of information regarding the events & hospitality field and what it takes to plan an event. This internship taught me excellent customer service skills, how to effectively communicate with my team and think of my feet all while exploring the event industry and entrepreneurship at a deeper level. I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to work with such a fun and hardworking team. This experience is definitely a core memory for me!

What I liked

This opportunity allowed me to meet the most incredible people. Katie and Adam are the sweetest and the best teachers, answering all my questions and inquiries when it came to wedding day and planning details. They place much importance to details and genuinely love what they do, and it shows in their passion for this company. I got the chance to also meet amazing interns, associates and other professionals in this field and they all share the same excitement, positivity and smiles that truly make my day.

What I liked

Katie and Adam are truly the kindest people I have ever met. They’re so willing to answer any questions that I might have (even the most minuscule ones). I love that I am always learning on the job.

What I wish was different

I wish I learned more about the logistical side of event planning. I got plenty of experience working the day-of-event, but I wish I got to listen in on vendor meetings as well.

Advice

After every event, I recommend reflecting on what went right and what could have been better. Doing this allowed me to be more mindful of what I’m soaking in and hopefully do a better job next time.
