What I liked
I had clear expectations for what was expected of me. I was encouraged to grow in the office and take on more roles and become more a face of my campus. I loved the work environment. Everyone is very inviting and invested in teamwork. I feel like I couldn't have found a better job as a student. This job allowed me to grow and learn as a student and employee. I was able to network and build relationships that will help me advocate for myself in the future, when looking for jobs and learning opportunities.
What I wish was different
I can't say I would wish for anything to be different. I feel that every aspect from the interview to first day to now has been a learning experience that I am grateful to have. I really like my jobs and I hope to continue to grow and gain more experiences to learn from while work on campus in student services.
Advice
It is important to show up and be there but entirely more important to be there and allow yourself to give it 110%. Going the extra mile to network and get involved in every aspect available to you will make all the difference in your experience as you move onward and upward into the field of your choice. Align yourself with leaders and doers and success will follow.
