Kidsave International

Non-profit Internship

May - August 2019 • Washington, DC

What I liked

It was a very relaxed office environment and I also got to organize events to help kids from Colombia get adopted. I got to practice my Spanish and play with the kids at the events so that was definitely a highlight for me!

What I wish was different

There was not a ton of structure in my office and the internship requires a lot of weekend commitments.

Advice

You will get as much out of this experience as you put in and the staff is very interested in younger peoples ideas/perspectives, so i would suggest to come to this internship with ideas, creativity, and an open mind!

Communications Intern

January - August 2017 • Washington, DC

What I liked

I learned SO MUCH about Communications and Public Relations with Kidsave. I also really loved the line of work, if you work with them during the summer you get to meet the kids, which for me was amazing. I would definitely recommend this internship to someone who speaks Spanish, a HUGE plus.

What I wish was different

I think being in an office setting for the first time was difficult for me. Office Politics are hard to figure out but very important!

Advice

Work hard!!
