What I liked

I liked that I experienced different departments within resort operations. It was great to meet and talk with guests.

What I wish was different

I wish that I had lived closer so I would not have had to pay summer rent. I also wish there was more communication between department heads. I often felt that there was little to no work to do.

Advice

Be open! Working at the front desk of the Kingsmill Resort can be intimidating however helping people is very rewarding.

What I liked

The environment of the workplace was so enjoyable. My coworkers and I created such a strong bond, we still keep in contact, even though we live all over the place (including South America). Dealing with resort members was fun, memorizing their orders and being able to please them. The resort guests were fun to handle because it was easy to have conversation with.

What I wish was different

I did not enjoy working outside. Our restaurant was outside-only. It was a hot summer, making the hours very long. However, it did not effect the fun I had working at Currents.
