Many opportunities to take on responsibility and lead other employees. Flexible and clear schedule. Lots of open communication with upper management.

Position was part-time only. Would have liked full-time hours.

Advice

Kohl's is a company where they start you at the bottom, but if you work hard it is fairly easy to move up within the company as management is always looking for responsible hard workers to delicate more responsibility too.

Be patient. Working with customers is a lot different than what people can assume. Some customer are nice and welcoming while others are a little more rude. Be patient and know every customer is different, so you as a sales associate can't treat every customer the same. Some customers will need a different sort of assistance.

The hardest part of getting a part-time/summer job was just doing all the apps. Do as many as you can and you will get a job faster than you think. A positive attitude can make time at work fly by.
