I enjoyed working in the field and conducting surveys. I spent a good amount of time split between office work and fieldwork over the summer.
What I wish was different
Fieldwork is a lot of physical labor, and while I had limited issues with this factor, I will say that it was difficult for me during certain weather conditions. In the office season, your jobs will be primarily office work.
Advice
If you feel that you do not have enough experience, apply anyway. You never know if you will get the job. Be open to feedback and apply it to better yourself. All jobs as an undergrad should be treated as a learning experience.
