Homicide/Sex Crimes Bureau Intern

May 2019 - August 2019 Las Vegas, NV
“What I liked most about my internship with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department was that I was involved in a wide array of activities that allowed me to truly see what it was like to work within their Homicide/Sex Crimes Bureau. I had the opportunity to go with a detective (or detectives) to listen/watch suspect and victim interviews, as well as participate in executing a search warrant. I was also given the opportunity to tour several other criminal justice agencies within the city such as the jail house, court house, and the forensic laboratory. I was also able to work with those other agencies by participating in a ride along. Those agencies consisted of the CSI/CSA Unit and one of the seven police area commands within the city. ”
