What I liked

Great and informative experience in Copyright Law. The work environment was very helpful and friendly. I recommend this internship for any undergrad looking to receive their first legal job experience.

What I wish was different

The online zoom experience of the internship made it difficult to feel a part of the law firm.

Criminal Defense Intern

January 2021 • Santa Ana, CA

What I liked

The supportive and flexible attitude from my case managers and HR department helped me feel confident with my individual responsibilities.

What I wish was different

I would have loved to experience this internship in-person, but thus far the remote format has been seemingly just as rewarding!

Advice

its a lot of delegation and time management, but if you're looking to go to law school, or a career of the like, I would definitely recommend applying, Higbee has given me such great professional experience thus far!

Copy Right Law Intern

August 2019 • Santa Ana, CA

What I liked

I like that everyone is willing to help and able to provide answers for questions of all sorts or guide the person to the appropriate person to answer. I love that it is a pet-friendly environment and others are willing to let you pet their dogs!

What I wish was different

I wish there were more dogs!

Advice

It is a good start to looking for experience and searching for what kind of law individuals might be interested in. I advise that you be comfortable sitting for periods of time but are free to walk around and take necessary breaks.

Copyright Intern

March - May 2019 • Las Vegas, NV

What I liked

Doing my internship at Higbee & Associates was great! I was their first Intern at their Las Vegas office and they were very friendly. I learned how to navigate various of websites relating to cases while also teaching me how to read case details. They were also understanding that I was a student and were flexible with my schedule.

What I wish was different

I wish I would have learned different skills however I was only an intern for the Spring semester so there was a time crunch. Other than that it was great and I wouldn't change anything!

Civil Litigation Intern

May - August 2018 • Santa Ana, CA

What I liked

The people are friendly and it is a flexible work environment

What I wish was different

They basically had us do the things they did not want to do. Also, sometimes i would sit there for hours with literally nothing to do.

Advice

Demand more work. The more engaging the better.
