Over the Phone Interpreters work from home on an on-call, Independent Contractor basis they’re responsible for answering interpretation calls for various types of clients including medical, legal, social service and government agencies.
Interpreters must be fluent in both English and requested language, be able to pass a comprehensive language assessment and be able to complete an online/over the phone training.
Interpreters must follow Linguistica International policies and procedures as well as all industry standards around professionalism, accuracy and ethics. Over the phone interpreters are evaluated and trained on an ongoing basis.

Fluency in English and other language(s)
Located in the United States
Office like setting at home – where the interpreter can interpret in a quiet, confidential manner.
Ability to pass Linguistica International Over the Phone Interpreting Evaluation/Assessment.
Ability to interpret consecutively
Interpreting Certification preferred
Interpreting Experience preferred
Ability to connect to the internet
Ability to meet speed requirements to take notes and look up notes/terms online
