I liked that I was able to gain additional writing experience outside of the college classroom. As the Communications Intern, I mostly wrote blog posts and social media captions for the church which helped me grow as a writer. Above all, I learned what it took to be part of a large megachurch's staff.
What I wish was different
I wished the internship was available in person; but due to COVID-19, the church went with the online format for all internships this past summer.
