I loved the people who were there to help me. They we so much fun to work with and they really taught me about professionalism.
What I wish was different
I wish I would have had more time to learn with them.

It’s hard work, and you shouldn’t procrastinate.

What I liked
I loved being able to see how a non-profit was ran and being able to interact with the clients.
What I wish was different
I wish there hadn’t been so much unpredicitabilty in scheduling, but it can be hard to coordinate schedules with youth.
Advice
Take internship opportunities that may be a bit outside of your comfort zone. I didn’t think I would enjoy working with adolescents or the homeless population. However, I learned a lot from this demographic and am now working for the agency in the same programs.
