It was an eye-opening experience to how elders are being treated and the different programs there are available to help them. I also learned a great deal about the court system as we also accompanied our clients to court when they wanted.
What I wish was different
I wish I would have explored the other departments a little more.
Advice
You should come into it ready to learn. In order to start working with clients, you have to do a 40 hour online training. This helps you better interact with them and learn the right things to say about sensitive topics. You need to be dedicated to helping these people.
