I like being in a more casual work environment. I’m still in school, so having a job that allows me to work my schedule around my classes is really helpful.
What I wish was different
The job does require a lot of work, often it’s work that doesn’t even fall under your job description, so it would be nice to have a clearer picture about what the job encompasses.
Advice
Working for churches can be very rewarding, but also very challenging. They operate very differently than most organizations and it is a difficult adjustment. Be ready to take on more than you expected.
