“Working in the applications department at Makino Mason was a fantastic experience. There was a perfect balance between hands on and CAD work to be done on the projects. The engineers that I worked with were extremely knowledgeable about the machines and procedures to execute. The workplace itself is also great. The integration bay, which is where the machines are tested and ran, is connected to the main office building for easy access to people and resources when you need it fast. Overall I loved my co-op experience and would recommend to any student who wants to jump in to real life application engineering.”

“During my co-op term with the aftermarket solutions group, I greatly enjoyed collaborating with the team and expanding my knowledge about CNC machines and their customization options. My primary responsibilities involved coordinating projects for the life cycle services and retrofit options groups. This included scheduling preventative maintenance jobs and providing onsite support for applications engineering. Additionally, I contributed to the continuous improvement of documentation and the development of training resources for the aftermarket group. Overall, I appreciated the opportunity to learn more about Makino, gaining insight into the various facets of the business and how they integrate to complete projects.”
