I enjoyed the whole experience. It was different for me because I’m a commuter but I got to dorm along with the students and the rest of my peers so that was really fun. We got free meals and transportation for the broadway show and the museum and I also really enjoyed those trips. English is also my strongest subject so I’m glad that I was able to help them write their college essays or edit their college essays the best way that I could because I know that I was of great help and I was able to see their different styles and how their personalities are through their writing.
What I wish was different
I wouldn’t change a thing it was an amazing experience and I would do it again!
Advice
I would just advise everyone to apply and try to get the summer job because it really is an amazing experience and you get to meet so many new people and do so many great things all while getting paid.

What I liked
I liked the independence and responsibility of managing my time in the lab and outside the lab.
What I wish was different
I wish we had started the program earlier to give more time for me to start my experiments.
Advice
Don't be afraid of things or opportunities that sound like they might not fit you. I never thought I would be capable of the research that I performed and it was a rewarding experience.
