Manna Project International

Summer Intern

June - August 2020 • Quito, Pichincha

What I liked

I loved the level of delegation that my supervisor had. She would ask us what we thoughts about us and the interns’ input was really valued. I also just loved that it was very people-oriented. We had weekly seminars that helped us learn more about Ecuador and also for Professional Development .

What I wish was different

I wish I was in Ecuador and I also wish I had more opportunities to bond with my intern cohort.

Summer Intern

June - July 2018 • Quito, Pichincha Province

What I liked

I loved how hands-on this experience was. I was thrown into the work environment and all of the training was on-the-go. I was able to do such a large variety of jobs which allowed me to experience every aspect of the organization. This was especially helpful because I don’t know exactly what career path I want to pursue. I also really enjoyed the living environment and the amount of Spanish I was able to learn during my time there.

What I wish was different

I wish I had done the 8-weeks instead of the 4-weeks because it felt very short.

Advice

To go in with an open mind and be prepared for whatever is thrown at you. Every day is completely different from the previous day, but that’s one of the best parts of the experience.
