About Massachusetts Commission for the Blind

MCB is the designated agency and point of entry for rehabilitation and social services for residents of the Commonwealth who are declared to be legally blind by an eye professional. MCB was established in 1906 and is the second oldest public agency for the blind in the country. MCB offers vocational training and social services to approximately 26,000 blind individuals throughout the Commonwealth to support independence and integrated community participation.
