Global Marketing Intern

June - August 2019 • El Segundo, CA

What I liked

I loved that every employee was very positive and always willing to teach you something. There were a lot of opportunities.

What I wish was different

I wish that I had the opportunity to do projects not just within my department but with other marketing teams too, to get the full Mattel experience.

Advice

The most valuable piece of advice is to take the opportunities that the internship has to offer. This includes meeting as many people possible, shadowing, learning as many new things, attending events, etc.. Going the extra mile really does make a difference.

Structural Packaging Intern

January 2018 • New York City, NY

What I liked

You are assigned meaningful and hands on projects with some exciting brands in the toy industry! The office has a fun and casual atmosphere, and all employees are willing to help you.

What I wish was different

The hiring process was very fast, with not much time to find somewhere to live, especially in Manhattan.

Advice

Don’t be afraid to ask questions or projects in areas you would like to be exposed in, even if it’s not exactly under your job title.
