For over forty years McPhail Associates has been providing geotechnical engineering, geoenvironmental engineering, geothermal energy, contractor support, and below-grade waterproofing consultation services to architects, owners, contractors, institutions, and developers. Remaining true to the mission of our founder, Robert E. McPhail, we continue to be creative, practical, respected problem solvers, always keeping our clients’ best interest and vision in mind. Our success is due to our team of exceptionally skilled and knowledgeable leaders who collaborate effectively to deliver comprehensive solutions to our clients’ development plans.
Our professional staff have degrees in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, environmental engineering, environmental science or geology and have a broad base of geotechnical and geoenvironmental experience in subsurface explorations, geotechnical analysis, foundation design, geoenvironmental site evaluation and remediation, design of excavation support systems, geotechnical instrumentation and construction monitoring.
McPhail has a strong family-like culture that is fostered by weekly informal social gatherings, regular in-house knowledge sharing sessions, and annual summer and winter company-wide outings. Our culture has produced a close-knit group of employees who collaborate daily with each other and with architects, engineers and contractors working toward a shared goal of a successful project for all involved.
