MedCAD

Quality and Manufacturing Intern

March - August 2022 • Dallas, TX

What I liked

It was a great learning experience for me. I was able to learn a lot of new skills and enhance my knowledge in the field of biomedical engineering. The skills and knowledge I gained will help me during my senior design project and future endeavors. I was also able to get a preview of what it is like to work in the real world as a biomedical engineer. The MedCAD team was extremely kind, supportive, and helpful throughout my internship.

What I wish was different

At this moment, I cannot think of any changes that would improve the internship experience at MedCAD. That being said, there is always room for improvement.

Advice

I would advice my fellow students to try to gain some internship or work experience in the field of biomedical engineering or medical devices during your undergraduate study. It is because, while bioengineering is a very interesting field of study, it might not be the right place for everyone. Thus, having internship or work experience can help a student discover their true passion.
