Administrative Intern

May 2022 - August 2022 Iowa City, IA
“- Everyone at Mercy Iowa City was very nice and took the time to get to know me, as well as, provide me with tasks that fulfilled my professional goals. It felt like a community, if I was eating alone people would come to sit by me and get to know me! - The networking was awesome! I was able to set up meetings and have informational interviews with any Managers, Directors, and executive members that I wanted to. As well, they created these opportunities for me. For example, inviting me to network lunches. - They created projects based on my interests and really helped tailor them to my needs. I was able to do projects - I got really cool experiences, such as, watching surgeries (knee replacement, spine surgery, hernia), following a Nurse, going to meetings with the CEO, holding a hiring event, interviewing people, and more! - They treated me as an employee not an intern - I had my own office and free beverages/snacks - great pay! I made almost double what I made at UIHC”
