It was interesting to see how the government works first-hand. Not many people get to see that
What I wish was different
The office I worked for hired too many interns, so it there was never much meaningful work to do. It sometimes felt like a waste of time
Advice
Try to go to as many events and talk to as many people as you can. Reps and Senators have a lot of connections that can help you down the line

What I liked
Having the opportunity to meet incredible people who have been tremendously influential to American public policy and national security.
What I wish was different
I wish I was more involved with Senate legislation and the process the Senator took to produce various bills.
Advice
Step out of your comfort zone and interact with everybody. You never know the value of a relationship. All it takes is one decision to live a completely better life.
