Reviews

Environmental Laboratory Technician Intern

June 2020 - August 2020 Milwaukee, WI
“I liked that I was able to apply my laboratory skills that I learned from my lab classes at Alverno. I was able to analyze data on my own, along with supervision, to build up my confidence in data analysis. Also, I was able to learn how to use new instruments that are not available at Alverno. For my fall semester, I was then able to come back to class with more laboratory experience and confidence in my work. For example, I learned how to calibrate a pH meter, and other probe instruments, on my own. In my biochemistry class this semester, we had to calibrate the pH meters on our own. I was able to help other students to calibrate their probe. ”

“I was able to get hand on experience in a lab using skills that I learned in my Chemistry and Biology courses at UWL. I was also able to learn how to use new equipment and programs that are important when working in a laboratory setting, such as a BOD analyzer and LIMS. ”
