Quality control coop

September - December 2019 • Mason, OH

What I liked

The new experience and the improvements that you professionally get by dealing with people in different professions and backgrounds.

What I wish was different

Less time for training and more early interaction with the varies staff members. More guides towards what being in quality control really means. knowing to what limits I could do my job with out direct supervision

Advice

its a great experience. Its a great first CO-OP and a second if you wish to come back. you have so much room to improve your education. Mitsubishi really teach you about the real life experiences out there that we don't get to be exposed to

Project Engineer Co-op

September 2018 • Mason, OH

What I liked

I really liked my supervisor. He has always been extremely helpful and willing to answer any questions I have. I also really enjoyed the work environment! A good percentage of the company is Japanese so it is super interesting hearing about/seeing their culture in the work space. Everything about my experience here has been more than worthwhile!

What I wish was different

The only thing I wish would have been different were my specific tasks. I came into it knowing it would be more of an electrical engineering based co-op (I'm mechanical), but I ambitiously accepted. I do not dislike my work in the slightest, but programming can definitely get boring after a year!

Advice

I would say to never turn down a challenge and always be ambitious! A lot of job descriptions seem intimidating or maybe just not exactly matching your previous experiences, but turn in an application and give it your all! Some of the greatest experiences in life lie on the other side of fear.
