Monsanto

Electrical Engineering Intern

March - August 2018 • Luling, LA

What I liked

The experience and the environment.

What I wish was different

Everything went perfect!

A 6month long co-op is definitely worth it. An internship is just not enough time to get a full experience.

Technology Development Field Assistant

March - August 2019 • Waltonville, IL

What I liked

I enjoyed working out in the field, and learning many new farming practices and technologies pertaining to the crops, fertilizers, and chemicals developed by Bayer and Monsanto.

What I wish was different

With a tough, wet spring, I wish we would have had a normal planting year to work with so we didn't have so much overtime and long nights.

Advice

Ask as many questions as you can, and experience as much as you can even if it is something you're unfamiliar with.

Biologist

February - August 2018 • Chesterfield, MO

What I liked

The opportunity to work with one of the most advanced agricultural companies in the world.

What I wish was different

That I didn’t get hired on a contract position.

Advice

If a job you want is a contract position, look at other contracting agencies and find the one that best suits you; they aren’t all the same in what pay/benefits they offer. If one agency has the job posted, there will likely be others that also have that job posted.

Mechanical Engineering Intern

May - August 2018 • St. Louis, MO

What I liked

Freedom in how I went about completing my projects.

What I wish was different

I wish I would have done more hands-on work with machines and things along that line.

Advice

Don't be hesitant about anything. If you have a question about something you are working on, even if it is a very basic question, don't be afraid to ask it because you feel like you will be judged for it. You are there to complete projects and they want you to use every resource available to you to be able to do that.
