I really enjoyed this internship even though I did not know what to expect from the recruiting side. I learned a lot about careers in human resources and gained just general knowledge about job recruitment. I loved being able to communicate with clients and my boss gave me great independent projects that really challenged me. The office was extremely laid back because it was only the other intern, my boss, and myself but I felt like my boss was able to give me a lot of personal attention and assist me because it was so small.
What I wish was different
Sometimes it was hard because my boss had to manage both interns but was also the recruitment manager so there were definitely some times where I had nothing to do because my boss did not have time to help me or give me a project.
Advice
Since the main office is in New York and I worked in Richmond, communicate on EVERYTHING. From the start make sure you are communicating daily reports to upper management in NYC.
