What I liked
Being able to meet international students from all over the world, learning their culture and showing them American culture.
What I wish was different
More on campus activities for the students and off campus trips for those that may be home sick.
Advice
Having patience and Understanding is the biggest thing to have while working with MLA. Culture is very different and how these children grew up may not be what we are accustomed to. Nonetheless they came to MLA NY to learn English and have a good time, so you know to make their time here vital.

What I liked
Being able to meet children from all around the world and showing them a piece of American Culture.
What I wish was different
I wish that it was more organized and some of my managers were more understanding that we were also students at the time.
Advice
It is going to be difficult however, it is well worth it in the end when you see the smile on students faces.

I liked the overall atmosphere of the program and how it developed my personal skills better. It allowed me to be more approachable and responsive to a variety of people.

I wish it had not been as stressful and more organized in the way the program was established.
Advice
Be very open and willing to help people with their needs and desires. You also have to be open to change and able to handle it.

What I liked
It was a great experience working with students from European countries. We shared our culture and they shared theirs. It rarely felt like a job and was such a fun way to spend the summer.
What I wish was different
I wish the hours would have been more flexible but summer jobs are usually long hours so it wasn't anything that I wasn't expecting.
Advice
It's tiring but rewarding, you just have to make the best of it.
