I gained a lot of hands on experience in the recruiting and payroll area. They also trusted me to take the lead in their recruiting process after only a couple of weeks.
What I wish was different
I wish I would have received a little bit more responsibility when I first started working here because 3 weeks after I started, their previous intern left. So I wanted to learn as much as possible before he left and I would be on my own.
Advice
Take notes on everything and stay organized. Also, if you’re feeling overwhelmed, don’t be afraid to ask for help or express to your coworkers that you need guidance, you guys are a team and they understand that you’re new to everything.
